The cutest little legs

I find that I am most creative after my girls are in bed.  I'm a night owl, you see.  Late Saturday night I had the sudden thought that "Hey!  My owls need striped legs!"  (A side note:  Hey! is an interjection.  Why are my girls not impressed with Schoolhouse Rock on DVD.  I couldn't even impress them with knowing the words to Interplanet Janet.  Sigh.)  And so these legs were created for a slew of red and aqua owls in the works.

And I thought:  Cutest. Legs. Ever.

Today my bubble burst when I saw this at Incredimazing.  Absolutely the cutest legs ever.

Getting started is the hardest part

I have a long list of projects to do.  Thinking about the list makes me feel all oogy inside.  (What?  Oogy isn't a word?)  To match the long list of things to do is a long list of reasons I don't want to start.  I hate rethreading my sewing machine for new colors of thread.  I'm never happy with the first version of anything.  I want to keep all my beautiful cotton prints in the cupboard so that I can admire them and not have to cut them.  It's a bunch of silliness, I know. 

So Deanna has been waiting forever for me to make a little girl's purse.  Here's version 4,823 (not really) and I like where it's going.  The hair is dark brown.  Hopefully those pig tails don't look like wings when finished.

Off topic...my sweet Katie fell ice skating last weekend.  She has a growth plate injury and is in a splint and on crutches until the 13th.  It didn't take her long to figure out that crutches suck!
