Katie and I did something similar for her class Valentine's a
couple years ago and she wants to do them again this year. They are
lollipop covers. They are easy to make and something you can do with
your kids! I made these for Ready, Set, Create!, which will be out
February 1, 2008. (edited to clarify - Ready, Set, Create! is an online magazine. Though a book would be awesome!!)
Here's how to make your own:
Cut a piece of paper or
cardstock 6" x 2.5". Fold in each short end about 0.5" and fold the
whole thing in half. See drawing below. Punch holes where indicated.
This is for lollipops smaller than 3" x 2.5". Adjust the cut paper
size according to the size of your lollipop.
Your paper should look like this:
Time to decorate. Kate likes to use stickers and draw. We
decorate one side and she writes her classmates' names on the other.
Line up the holes and put the lollipop stick through the holes. It's a pretty lollipop!
