Yesterday Katie turned 10. She did! Woe is me.
Brett had a visit to the gastroenterologist yesterday, too. The good news is that they think the esophageal tear is healed. The bad news is that the stricture is no better. He's there this morning having a barium swallow and x-ray to check the length of the stricture. Then back we go February 22 to have it stretched. Between broken bones, a bad back, stitches, MRSA, and now this I'm ready for him to be well.
We stopped by the thrift store on the way home for vintage/antique buttons (boy, did I find some buttons) and got this lovely item. Hand quilted. Someone loved it to bits, but I wasn't leaving it there with the $5 price tag! I would say about 90% of it is well suited for a second life as something, but I'm not sure what.
